During the design process of the building, the following factors had a special influence upon the form of its structure: its surroundings and its localization in the city centre, in the Mediaeval part of Wrocław, and historical factors connected with it.

The height of the building was limited 24 m, in accordance with the decision concerning land development conditions (building conservation requirement). This height is comparable to the height of other buildings located at Plac Dominikański – the complex of Dominikańska Gallery, the Statistic Office at ul. Oławska, and the height of office buildings at ul. Wita Stwosza. The main assumption of the designers was to create a modern building, the facade of which would be rather vertical, which would be an optimal part of the modern arrangement of buildings but the structure of which would also refer to the architecture of the old post office, gothic church and the Dominikańska Gallery, making the use of the area of the parcel to the highest degree.
