In accordance with the concept, the airport shall support both domestic and international flights. “Airplanes dedicated for the purpose of regional connections are the STOL-category planes (short take off and landing): ATR42: BAE146 and Avro RJ Jetstream 41, DHC-6 Twin Otter, DHC Dasch 7, DHC Dasch 8Q, Dorniery 228 and 328, Fokkery 50 and 70, Saaby 340 and 2000, as well as Shorts 360-300 etc. On the other hand, low-cost carriers usually use Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A-320”.

The basic usable area programme and parameters of the airport are as follows:

• length of the runway: 2520 m; width of the runway: 45 m,
• width of the airstrip: 300 m; length of the airstrip: 2640 m,
• planned width of the taxiway, parallel to the runway and running along its entire length: 23m,
• patrol road along the air port fencing, length: 5973 m, width: 4.0 m,
• landing strip for helicopters, dimensions: 38.0 x 38.0 m, equipped with neon navigation tools,
• main service road, length: 1188.08 linear meters,
• airport fencing, length: 8110 m with driveways – 7 items,
• area of the airport (within the fenced territory): 197.86 ha,
• air traffic - 95% days of the year,
• air carrier working days – 7 days a week,
• charter traffic – 5 months a year,
• the airport shall operate 24 hours a day.
