We have signed a contract with YIT Development for the construction of the next stage of the Cranes investment in Gdansk. The contract will include the construction of an 8-story building with commercial premises. The contract also includes the finishing of the common parts and outdoor areas of the investment. This is not the first cooperation between the companies. MECE is also responsible for the ongoing construction of the first stage of the project.
The Żurawie investment is being developed in Gdansk's Młode Miasto district, in the vicinity of Nowomiejska, Popiełuszki and Jaracza streets, near the European Solidarity Center, the Old Town and the historic gate of the Gdansk Shipyard.
Phase II will include an 8-story building with 162 commercial units. The total area of the building will be over 9,150 sqm. The investment project was inspired by the historical heritage of the Gdansk Shipyard. The concept created by leading Finnish architect Rainer Mahlamäki gives the project an industrial character, which will be reflected in the layout of the blocks and the choice of building materials, alluding to shipyard halls, ships, the sea and dunes.
