On September 27., 2024, the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Mota-Engil Central Europe S.A. was closed. Mota-Engil Central Europe S.A. was acquired from the current owner, Mota-Engil Group by the Hungarian company Duna Aszfalt Zrt.
Duna Aszfalt Zrt. (flagship entity of Duna Group), a leading company in the engineering and road construction sector in Hungary, has become the new sole shareholder of Mota-Engil Central Europe S.A.
Mota-Engil Central Europe S.A. will operate under the name Duna Polska S.A. in the future. The company's development activities, previously conducted by Mota-Engil Real Estate Sp. z o.o., will continue under the brand Duna Polska Real Estate Sp. z o.o.

We have completed many ambitious projects – hundreds of kilometers of national expressways, numerous public utility facilities, development projects, and investments in the power sector. I would like to thank the representatives of the Mota-Engil Group and all the employees who have built a stable and recognized position for our brand in the market over the past 25 years” – says Maciej Michałek, CEO Mota-Engil Central Europe – “We will start operating under a new name in the future: Duna Polska!”

According to previous plans, Duna Polska (formerly MECE) will continue mining activities at the Górka Sobocka quarry, develop the Asphalt Batching Plants and equipment base, and implement investment and modernization plans.
