Description

The Wykroty – Krzyżowa contract works include the construction of the 29.4 km long section of the highway, the 7.18 km long section (between km 44+220 and 51+400) was constructed by MOTA-ENGIL Engenharia e Construção S.A. The range of works in this section includes, first of all, roadworks, bridgeworks, drainage of the road banks, reinforcement works, responsibility for traffic safety, preparation of green areas and finishing works.

Roadworks include: construction of the section of the A4 highway, two two-level interchanges: „Bolesławiec” and „Krzyżowa”, crossroads and internal roads.

The A4 highway is a dual carriageway road with two 3.75 m wide lanes in each direction, a 3 m wide shoulder, a 1.25 m wide roadside and a 5 m wide central reservation. Along the highway, internal roads are constructed. There are also three rest areas (MOP): MOP Czerna Północ – km 26+150, MOP Czerna Południe – km 26+150 and MOP Kraśnik Dolny – km 46+250 (only the last one is under the responsibility of Mota-Engil).

The “Krzyżowa” interchange– type WA, collision-free, between two highways: A4 Wrocław – Zgorzelec and A18 Krzyżowa – Olszyna. It consists of four junction roads and four flyover ramps.

The „Bolesławiec” interchange– type WB, so called „trumpet”, on the voivodeship road No. 297 Lwówek Śląski – Szprotawa, covers the section of the highway between km 44+200 and 45+200.
