Laboratories
In the present age of transport infrastructure development, in Poland and in other European countries, in order to meet high European requirements in terms of quality, Mota-Engil Central Europe executes projects through the implemented Quality Assurance System.
In order to ensure correct performance of control in our company, the Quality System has been introduced on all levels of operational activity through implementation and execution of appropriate procedures and instructions.
The Quality Assurance System is based mainly on the functioning of the Main Road Laboratory which is located in Balice near Kraków, which has got a Laboratory of Soils and Base(courses) as well as an Asphalt Laboratory and the Main Bridge Laboratory equipped in the Laboratory of Concretes.
In all the Asphalt Batching Plants and Aggregates Production Plants, Factory Production Control has been implemented in accordance with the PN-EN Standards. It operates through field laboratories located beside those plants.
Additionally, there are field laboratories at bigger sites, which ensure control of the built in materials, the control in terms of quality of the executed types of works as well as control and As-Built Documentation at particular contracts. Field laboratories are gradually transformed into Regional Laboratories which provide services for all the sites in a particular region. The laboratories have got the most modern equipment which is consistent with European Standards within the scope arising from the needs of a particular contract.
In order to manage the quality at the sites appropriately, Technological Division, managed by the Main Technologist, consisting of the employees of appropriate qualifications and experience obtained at major sites.
Moreover, at the Main Road Laboratory, a Team for Innovation and Development was created the aim of which is searching and keeping records of new solutions, materials and technologies as well as their propagation within the entire company.
Laboratory control System, as an integral part of Quality Assurance Programme, is constantly developed a s the company is awarded new contracts and is constantly improved though the use of the most modern equipment and the developing system of trainings for laboratory staff.
