On Wednesday, 23.09.2020 in Tomaszów Lubelski, together with the Lublin branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Mota-Engil Central Europe S.A. signed an annex to the contract for the construction of the Tomaszów Lubelski bypass concerning the extension of the second roadway.
ADDITIONAL ROADWAY
The investment includes the construction of the second roadway of the ring road measuring about 5.4 km between Tomaszów Lubelski Północ - Tomaszów Lubelski Południe junctions, together with the infrastructure and traffic safety devices. The plans also include the construction of engineering facilities, including a flyover over the Sołokija River valley. Mota-Engil Central Europe has 11 months to design the road and obtain the necessary decisions, including the building permit. This time will be followed by fieldwork, which is planned to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2022. The value of the supplementary order is over 74 million PLN.
EXISTING WORK
The degree of advancement of works on the Tomaszów Lubelski bypass currently under construction is about 77%. Currently, bituminous works are being carried out along the main route, access roads and bridges are also being built. On most of the route, the penultimate, bituminous binder layer is laid, and vertical and horizontal markings have been created on Tomaszów Północ junction. The planned completion date of the ring road is the first half of 2021.
