Today, more than 13-km section of the S7 expressway, from Widoma junction to Szczepanowice junction, was opened to traffic.
The Szczepanowice - Widoma section consists of two carriageways, two lanes in each direction with a reserve for the third lane and two interchanges: Szczepanowice and Widoma. The lay of the land and the well-developed local road infrastructure made it possible to build 18 engineering structures, including an impressive flyover made in the longitudinal slide technology. It is the longest civil engineering structure in this section, over 700 m long. It passes over the railroad line, district roads and the Szreniawa River. Work on the construction of the facility began in the fall of 2019. The determination of our employees, the commitment of qualified people working in two shifts and close cooperation with proven and experienced subcontracting companies made it possible to realize in less than 2 years a picturesque flyover, which beautifully fits into the surroundings and attracts the attention of passers-by with its appearance.
The road made available today is both a convenience for those travelling on the Krakow-Warsaw route, as well as for the local residents, creating the Słomniki Bypass.
