MECE will build a dormitory for the University of Warsaw

Mota-Engil Central Europe signed today a contract with the University of Warsaw for the construction of a student house at the Służewiec Campus. The contract includes construction and assembly works.

The new dormitory building will be erected in Warsaw's Służewiec district, in the vicinity of Sulima and Smyczkowa streets. The object will consist of 8 storeys: seven above the ground and one underground, designed for parking spaces and technical rooms. The total area will amount to 13,000 m2, while the usable area will be 5850 m2. The building has been designed with 137 rooms dedicated to students and academic staff. On particular floors, apart from the residential part, there will also be common rooms such as kitchens, common rooms and quiet rooms. Mota-Engil will also be responsible for the finishing and furnishing of the rooms as well as for the landscaping works including the elements of small architecture.

The investment shall be executed in BIM technology, i.e., by means of a modern design and construction method, ensuring increased efficiency of the teams' work and registration of data throughout the construction period.

We are pleased to have established cooperation with the University of Warsaw. It is another important project in our cubature portfolio. In the capital itself, we have been realising investments for many years, mainly in the residential sector, but we can also boast the expansion and modernisation of the Main Library of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship or the contract signed with the City Hall in Warsaw for the design and construction of an underground car park at Powstańców Warszawy Square.
